Palate

Multi-layered and well-balanced. Strawberry, cherry, and red berry fruit provide brightness. Sherry casks contribute dried fruit (raisin, fig) and dark chocolate. Mizunara adds its signature sandalwood and incense. American oak provides vanilla and butterscotch structure. Medium-full body with a silky texture. Ginger spice and a floral cherry blossom note add nuance. The 2017 vintage shows a slightly higher Mizunara proportion than later releases, giving it a more distinctly Japanese character
