Founded by former Hong Kong financial executive Mark Lung. Named after the Pokeno township south of Auckland. Uses locally grown barley and a combination of New Zealand wine casks (Pinot Noir, Chardonnay) and ex-bourbon barrels. Won multiple awards at its first international competitions.
