Diageo's entry into the Indian single malt category, named after the Great Indian Bustard (Godawan) -- an endangered bird native to the Rajasthani desert. Produced in Alwar, Rajasthan, using six-row Indian barley and aged in a combination of ex-bourbon and Indian oak casks. Extreme Rajasthani heat (45C+ summers) drives aggressive maturation. Backed by the world's largest spirits company, Godawan represents multinational confidence in India's premium whisky market. Launched 2023 to critical acclaim.
