Braunstein

A Danish micro-distillery and brewery in the historic town of Koge, south of Copenhagen. Founded by Michael and Claus Braunstein, combining craft brewing expertise with whisky distillation. Produces single malt whisky alongside rum, gin, and aquavit. Known for Library Collection single cask releases -- individually numbered bottles from selected casks. Uses Danish malted barley and experiments with various cask types including Danish wine casks, rum casks, and sherry butts. One of Denmark's earliest whisky producers alongside Stauning. The brewery-distillery model reflects the deep connection between brewing and distilling traditions in Scandinavia.
