Brauerei Locher (Säntis Malt)
Switzerland's first whisky producer. Master Brewer Karl Locher began when grain distillation became legal July 1, 1999. Family brewery dates to 1886. First Säntis Malt released 2002. Uses hardy Swiss mountain grain and Alpstein spring water. Matured in ancient barrels from 130 years of beer production. Largest production and diversity of Swiss whisky labels. Named after Mount Säntis.
